Fire in RM of Springfield proves fatal

One person was killed in a house fire northeast of Winnipeg in the RM of Springfield early this morning.

RCMP say the blaze occurred at a mobile home on Edgewood Road. Fire crews were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m.

The identity of the person who died has not been confirmed.

The home was completely destroyed.

The investigation continues today.
