Five young teens have been arrested for an April 2 fire at Canad Inns Stadium.

The April 2 fire was detected at 7:45 p.m. A burning shed released a plume of thick, dark smoke floating above the stadium and nearby Polo Park.

There were no injuries but damage to the shed and contents was estimated at $300,000.

Winnipeg police said as a result of the continuing investigation by the arson strike force, five teens have been arrested: two 16-year-old boys, two 17-year-old boys, and a 16-year-old girl.

All five youths have been charged with one count of arson and have been released with a promise to appear in court.
