PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - The Philadelphia Flyers are taking the morning off after suffering a 5-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens and travelling home in the early hours.
The Flyers sit second in the Atlantic Division with a 5-3-1 record and will host the Winnipeg Jets (2-5-1) last in the Southeast tonight at 6 p.m. (TSN 1290, TSN Jets).
There was no morning skate or media availability with the Flyers on Thursday.
Speculation was that there would be two possible lineup changes with Philadelphia. Tough guy Jody Shelley is likely to come out and be replaced by Andreas Nodl.
Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov had a rough outing on Wednesday against the Habs and owns a 3.16 goals against and an .884 save percentage on the season after signing a nine-year, $51 million US free agent deal this summer.
Backup Sergei Bobrovsky has had much better numbers to date and is undefeated at 2-0 with a 2.01 goals against and a .918 save percentage.
The Flyers played their first game without injured captain Chris Pronger on Wednesday and suffered a loss. Last season they were 31-14-5 with Pronger in the lineup last season; without him, they were 16-9-7.
