Former Bison Nemis added to Bombers' O-line

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers added another name to a swelling offensive line stable, inking former Manitoba Bison Samuel Nemis to a contract Tuesday.

Nemis, a Winnipeg-native, played both guard and tackle for the Bisons and was part of the 2007 Vanier Cup champion team. The 29-year-old saw time with the Winnipeg Rifles before joining the university program.

Winnipeg currently has 10 offensive linemen under contract as training camp approaches next month (June 3). That number doesn’t include top draft selection Tyson Pencer, who is expected to join the club before the start of rookie camp (May 30).

The Bombers also announced they have extended the contract of import linebacker Dustin Doe Tuesday. The 24-year-old played in three games last season, registering two defensive tackles and two special teams tackles.
