Four charged after guns, drugs seized in Point Douglas
Four men have been charged after police seized guns and drugs in Point Douglas early Wednesday.
Winnipeg police said today Anthony Robert Cote, 22, Nathan Thomas Anthony Settee, 22, Brandon Lee McKay, 18, and Daniel Wesley Stevenson, 19, have been detained in custody. The four were charged with several weapon and drug related offences.
Just after midnight, the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crimes Unit, backed up by the Tactical Support Team and other police, executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Lorne Avenue.
After several people were removed from the house, police found a sawed-off rifle, shotgun and pellet pistol, as well as $4,000 worth of cocaine, $200 worth of benzocaine, drug packaging material and cash.
