Frank Turner at the Garrick Oct. 26

  • Print

U.K. folk/punk poet Frank Turner and his backing band The Sleeping Souls are coming to this side of the pond for a massive 42-date North American tour in support of Turner’s latest album, Tape Deck Heart. The tour hits the Garrick Centre on Oct. 26. Tickets are $24 plus fees at Unionevents.com and Ticketfly.com.

Tape Deck Heart is Turner’s fifth album and major label debut for Interscope. Released in April, the record has racked up the raves; Rolling Stone touted his "highly quotable" and "deliriously catchy rants about life after punk."

A witty, wry storyteller, Turner carved out a fruitful career as an acoustic singer/songwriter after his post-hardcore outfit, Million Dead, split in 2005.
