Funeral held for Waskada plane crash victims
More than 1,300 people are attending a memorial service in Waskada this afternoon for four local residents killed in a plane crash eight days ago.
Darren Spence, 37, a crop duster based in southwestern Manitoba, was at the controls of the plane when it crashed just outside of Waskada a week ago Sunday, killing him, his sons, 10-year-old Gage and nine-year-old Logan, and a friend of the boys, nine-year-old Dawson Pentecost.
Only 200 people live in the small community in southwestern Manitoba.
