Motorists will be spending a lot more nickels this morning when they fill up.

Gas prices in Winnipeg went up five cents a litre in many stations across the city, including many Petro-Can, Esso and Co-op outlets, according to winnipeggasprices.com.

Cheaper fuel can still be found in some spots, at least for now. But the first warm weekend of the spring is just around the corner, and that usually means a price hike across the board.
