Gerula loses to Wallberg for WBC super featherweight title

Olivia "The Predator" Gerula failed to win back the WBC women’s super featherweight title on Saturday losing by unanimous decision to Frida "Golden Girl" Wallberg in a 10-round bout in Karlstad, Sweden.

Wallberg had won the title last November beating Gerula in an eight-round fight which left Gerula and many in the boxing community believing the judges had scored the fight incorrectly.

On Saturday as Gerula lost 99-91, 98-92 and 98-92 and was gracious in defeat.

"I didn’t get the job done tonight," Gerula said in an email to the Free Press. " Frida was the better fighter and this time around, she deserved the win."

Gerula’s record is now 13-12-2 (3 KO) while Wallberg remains undefeated (10-0, 2 KO)
