Jets' pre-game video popular with fans

In the old days, it wasn’t uncommon for Jets fans to leave the house as soon they heard the national anthem start on the radio.

Oh, what a difference 15 years makes.

That kind of thinking simply didn’t cut it during the NHL’s return to Winnipeg this season.

Arguably the most popular pre-game item is the video introducing that night’s game.

When the opening strands to Heart of Courage come over the MTS Centre loudspeakers, many fans in the concourse will scurry down the nearest tunnel to see that night’s message.

It’s tailored to each home game and usually ends by imploring fans to "Get Loud."

It’s just one of the duties belonging to video producers Steve Godkin and Curtis Robson. But sometimes, just sometimes, the experts can use a little help.
