Gilbert Plains woman stabbed

A 26-year-old Gilbert Plains woman was taken to hospital early today after being stabbed, RCMP said this afternoon.

Just before 5:30 a.m. today, a 911 call was made from a Gilbert Plains residence indicating a person had been stabbed. RCMP officers from the Dauphin and Ethelbert detachments went to the home, along with personnel from the Parkland EMS, RCMP said.

The female resident of the home was located in the home with a puncture wound in her side, RCMP said.

RCMP said there are no further details available at this time.
