A four-year-old girl was grabbed by a suspicious man but managed to run away Wednesday night in the 1400 block of Elgin Avenue, police say.
The girl was walking with three other girls, between the ages of four and 12, around 9 p.m. when a man they didn’t know began to yell to them and then chase them.
The suspect, described as Caucasian, bald and wearing dark clothes, grabbed the four-year-old girl, who screamed, broke free and ran away.
The kids went home and told their parents, and police were called.
Members of the Winnipeg Police Service child abuse unit were contacted, as was a school resource officer with the WPS.
