Girl approached by man driving van; police seek information on driver

A 13-year-old girl was approached by what police are calling a suspicious male in a white van around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

The man approached the girl around Country Club Boulevard and McBey Avenue, and asked her if she wanted a ride. She didn’t respond and walked away from him.

The man is described as Caucasian, 30-40 years old, with thin brown hair, a scruffy beard and missing upper teeth. He was wearing a black jacket and black gloves.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call police or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
