Goaltender Andrew Loewen is making headlines for his moves off the ice.
The Winnipeg man, a member of the Columbus Cottonmouths in the Southern Professional Hockey League, is drawing attention for his dancing between periods in a game last week.
In the YouTube video, the 29-year-old leads a line dance in full gear in the Zamboni entrance with the Columbus cheerleaders and mascot to V.I.C.’s Wobble Baby track. Loewen leads the line dance, drawing cheers from the hometown crowd.
The video has been making its rounds in the hockey community, finding its way onto the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast Saturday night.
Loewen spent three years in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, playing for the Neepawa Natives (2003-05) and the Winnipeg South Blues (2005-06).
