Goldeyes add pitcher Daniel Morari

The Winnipeg Goldeyes have added Canadian left-handed pitcher Daniel Morari, a 25-year-old from Saskatoon who had been pitching out of the bullpen for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

Morari, claimed off waivers by Goldeyes manager Rick Forney on Saturday, had a 1-1 record with a 3.68 ERA in 27 appearances this season for the RedHawks.

The Goldeyes (46-32) host the Wichita Wingnuts (46-33) tonight at 6 p.m. at Shaw Park.

Starting pitchers are expected to be southpaw Chris Salamida (3-5, 4.48) for Winnipeg and Wichita lefty Anthony Capra (1-1, 5.28).

Morari previously played two seasons for the Calgary Vipers of the North American Baseball League. He posted a 1.98 ERA in 36 games with the Vipers last season.
