Goldeyes delay afternoon game due to storm

  • Print

The thunderstorm that swept across Winnipeg Sunday morning has forced the Goldeyes to delay today's matinee against the visiting Kansas City T-Bones.

At 11:45 a.m., the team announced the planned 1:30 start would be pushed back to 3 p.m.

The Goldeyes, who at 45-40 are still in the hunt for the American Association's wildcard playoff spot, dropped the first pair of games against Kansas City, including Saturday night's 8-6 heartbreaker which saw the Fish lose a two-point lead in the ninth before falling in the extra inning.

After wrapping up today's game they will head on the road, with only 14 games left in the season.
