Goldeyes hope win streak continues

The Winnipeg Goldeyes will go for a third straight win today at 7 p.m. in American Association baseball action at Shaw Park.

The Goldeyes (28-20) will meet the Sioux Falls Pheasants (25-23) in the third of their four-game set. Goldeyes right-handed pitcher Ace Walker (4-2, 2.94) is expected to get the start and lefty Peter Gehle (4-3, 4.46) for Sioux Falls.

The Goldeyes beat Sioux Falls 3-1 and 7-1 in the first two games between the two on Saturday and yesterday.

Winnipeg holds a one-game lead on Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks atop the American Association’s North division. The Goldeyes have been first in the North for 47 straight days.
