The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced another roster move Wednesday, pulling one struggling starting pitcher off the squad.
Right in the middle of a tight match against the visiting Wichita Wingnuts, the club announced they had released Alex Capaul. The right-handed pitcher started the year with a 5-0 shut-out in Amarillo but his next four outings were not as successful.
The Goldeyes now have 20 players on the roster, including nine pitchers and 11 position players. They are still hunting for some help in the bullpen, after releasing one rookie pitcher last week, and will need to bring in another starter now as well.
