Two Goldeyes players, and the rights to a third, are headed south as the team fulfilled an open trade with the Sioux City Explorers.

Infielder Kevin Moesquit, southpaw pitcher Edgar Osuna – who finished the year injured – and the rights to shortstop Nate Samson, who was plucked into the Chicago Cubs organization, will now go to the Explorers to wrap up an Aug. 15 trade that saw Winnipeg acquire pitcher Jason Jarvis.

Moesquit, 22 and the cousin of Goldeyes infielder Yurendell de Caster, appeared in 44 games with the Goldeyes last season, hitting .245 with two home runs and 18 RBI.
