Goldeyes win second straight Organization of the Year award

WINNIPEG -- Baseball’s American Association has honoured the Winnipeg Goldeyes with a second straight Organization of the Year award.

After a 55-45 regular season in their second year in the league, the Goldeyes ran hot to a 6-0 post-season record and their first league title. The team drew a league-high 285,263 fans in 2012.

The award is voted on by league field managers and media.

It’s the seventh time in the last 10 years the Goldeyes have been recognized by their own league as organization of the year.
