Gordie Howe in city for charity golf tournament

What would Gordie Howe do?

Would he call our new NHL team the Jets? Or would he go for a whole new brand?

That’s expected to be the No. 1 questions golfers will ask Mr. Hockey today at the Rainbow Society Tournament of Dreams golf tournament.

Howe will golf in the tournament at Niakwa Country Club. Golfers paid $279 each to take part and rub elbows with the hockey icon.

The Rainbow Society raises money so Manitoba children with life-threatening illnesses can fulfill their dreams. The society, founded in Winnipeg in 1983, was the first wish-granting organization in Canada.
