Great weather on Good Friday

Winnipeg -- welcome to the start of the holiday weekend.

Weather Central has good news and bad news for you. Don't panic! The good news is plentiful and the bad news isn't. Enjoy these last minutes of peace, sipping your coffee, before loading the family into the minivan.

The good news, especially for those of you travelling, is both today and Sunday are wonderful days for travel.

Today Environment Canada says we can expect another amazing spring day -- clear skies and a toasty high of 19 C. If you’re not travelling get outside and enjoy today. You'll be sorry if you waste today on spring-cleaning or chores.

Clear skies on Sunday as well. Unfortunately, temperatures are expected to cool off by then. We are looking at high of only plus 2 combined with wind.

Notice how we skipped Saturday? There's no way to sugar coat it. Saturday has a 30 per cent chance of showers throughout the day. Possible showers become possible flurries in the evening. The morning will start off at 13 C but the temperature is expected to fall throughout the day; don't be suckered into leaving your jacket behind if you head out in the morning. Winds will be gusting up to 60.

So there you have it. Two nice days for travel where they’re needed and one day perfect for all those pesky chores you've been putting off.
