Grieving pet owners invited to speak tonight

The Winnipeg Humane Society will host a pet loss vigil today at 7 p.m. at 45 Hurst Way. The vigil will celebrate the lives of animals who have touched our lives.

Lead by professional counsellor and certified trauma specialist Anne Mulders-Papadopoulos, the vigil will also feature speaker Bill McDonald, the CEO of the Winnipeg Humane Society.

The society offers the vigil as an event where anyone mourning their late pet companion can meet without judgment and pay tribute to the relationship they had with their pet through a candle lighting ceremony.
