Grit leadership candidate Trudeau to spend week in Manitoba

Liberal leadership candidate Justin Trudeau will be in Manitoba this week for a four-day whirlwind tour.

Trudeau's tour begins with a public meeting in Neepawa on Wednesday at the Chicken Corral Restaurant at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Trudeau will attend three public meetings:

  • 10 a.m.: "A Conversation with Justin Trudeau" at Brandon University, sponsored by the BU Political Science Club, in the Ceremony Room, 141 Health Studies Building.
  • 1 p.m.: Public meeting at the Keehkeemaquah Conference Centre, 5006 Crescent Road West, on the Long Plain First Nation (near Portage la Prairie)
  • 4 p.m.: Public meeting at the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School

Two more "Conversations with Trudeau" will be held on Friday in Winnipeg, the first at the University of Manitoba’s Drake Centre at 1:15 p.m., followed by a forum at the Université de St. Boniface, Centre etudiant Etienne-Gaboury, at 3 p.m.

And on Thursday, another leadership candidate will make a stop at the Free Press News Café.

Martha Hall Findlay will stop by to discuss her campaign during a live interview at 1 p.m.
