Yes Winnipeg, that white stuff falling from the sky Sunday morning is snow.
And yes Winnipeg, the date is April 21.
At least it’s only a relatively light dusting and we won't need shovels to move it.
The fact we won't have to shovel is about the best news in the forecast today, which has nothing to offer for fans of spring. Environment Canada is calling for the snow to end sometime this afternoon, but the high is only going to reach 2 C and the sun will stay hidden behind the clouds.
Overnight, it will drop to -8 C in the city before warming up to a high of 0 C Monday.
The sun will be out, though, and is expected to remain in the sky Tuesday when the high is predicated to be 2 C.
Wednesday, a bit more snow is in the forecast, but according to Environment Canada’s long-range forecast, it is going to hit 10 C Friday.
Yes Winnipeg, that’s plus 10.
Environment Canada wouldn’t tease us, would it?
