Prime Minister Stephen Harper has touched down in Winnipeg today to participate in a roundtable discussion on how to protect youth from cyberbullying.
The PM joined Public Safety Minister Vic Toews, Lianna McDonald, executive director of the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, family members of Canadian cyberbully victims and others at an hour-long event at the Delta Winnipeg hotel.
The meeting was closed to reporters. Harper's entourage only allowed photographers to a brief photo-op at the Canadian Centre for Child Protection office on Academy Road earlier today and a second photo-op at the downtown Winnipeg hotel.
Event organizers said some roundtable participants may meet with reporters later this afternoon.
