Power restored at Health Sciences Centre

Power has now been restored to all areas of the Health Sciences Centre, and patients whose elective surgeries or tests were cancelled and not rescheduled will be contacted soon.

A hospital spokeswoman said today power was restored at 4:20 p.m. after the power system cut out this morning at about 10:30 a.m.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority said earlier that the surgeries and tests were being rescheduled as a precaution.

Patients are being asked to call ahead tomorrow to their doctor or clinic to ensure their appointments haven’t been pushed back due to the outage.
