As the scorching summer heat drags on, the city will extend its spray pad hours to help families cool off.

Starting Thursday, all city spray pads will now be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, until further notice.

There are nine spray pads in total, including locations at Central Park, Fort Rouge Park, Lindenwoods Community Centre, Provencher Park, River Heights Community Club, St. Norbert Community Centre, Vimy Ridge Memorial Park, 1400 Rothesay Street and 75 Tyndall Avenue.
