High of 29C today, sunny skies all week

If sunshine on your shoulders makes you happy, then you’re going to love this week.

And if you’re a fan of above-average temperatures, this is the sort of double-whammy forecast that will make your head spin.

There isn’t a cloud in Environment Canada’s sky all the way to next weekend.

It will be a slightly windy start to the week, with winds south at 30 km/h gusting to 50 but the temperature is expected to hit 29C today with a UV index of 5. (Hurray for a UV index in September!)

The mercury won’t rise quite as high on Tuesday, falling to a seasonal high of 19C but it will rise slightly to 21C on Wednesday, 20C on Thursday and to a whopping 26C on Friday.

Saturday’s high is expected to hit 23C.
