No one was badly injured in a multi-vehicle crash near Headingley that closed the Trans-Canada Highway Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 11:30 a.m., RCMP say a Jeep Liberty heading westbound braked suddenly, which caused a chain reaction. A semi-trailer hauling hogs rear-ended the Jeep and collided with a Dodge Caravan which was driving alongside the semi.
The female driver of the Caravan was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The drivers of the Jeep and the semi were unhurt, and so were the hogs.
Poor visibility, which plagued highways across the province Wednesday, was a factor in the crash, said RCMP.
The Trans-Canada was closed for about three hours west of Headingley to Elie.
