Humane society lowering adoption fee on Friday

  • Print

Christmas is coming early for families looking to adopt a furry friend this holiday season.

In an effort to find homes for 28 of its dogs and create space in its overflowing adoption rooms, the Winnipeg Humane Society is lowering its adoption fee to $28 this Friday.

"As we prepare to spend time to celebrate the season with our loved ones, we feel particularly disheartened for our shelter animals who are waiting to find their family," said Bill McDonald, CEO of the WHS.

Among the dogs available for adoption are Lumberjack, a four-year-old German Shepherd mix, and two-year-old Shepherd mix, Hailey. All dogs have been spayed or neutered and have received their necessary shots and treatments.

The promotion will be held this Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
