Holodomor researcher talking at News Cafe this morning

One of the world's leading Holodomor researchers will appear live Friday morning at the News Cafe.

Dr. Lesia Onyshko, deputy director of the National Memorial in Commemoration of Famines' Victims in Ukraine, a museum of the Ukrainian Holodomor, is in Winnipeg as a guest of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, with which the researchers recently reached a memorandum of understanding to promote greater awareness of this atrocity.

The MOU ensures that ground-breaking research into the Holodomor, which involves the study of Stalin's secret files, will be shared with a global audience. Onyshko will be joined by Dr. Clint Curle, head of stakeholder relations at the CMHR, for a live interview at 9 a.m.

The interview coincides with Holodomor Awareness Week, November 19-25.

Come to the News Cafe, 237 McDermot Avenue, to see the interview live, or watch at www.winnipegfreepress.com.
