Hydro focusing on areas hit hardest by snowstorm

Manitoba Hydro crews are still working to restore power to 150 customers in southeastern Manitoba.
More than 5,000 people were left without power following Thursday's snowstorm, mainly in the Piney, Whiteshell, Falcon Lake and West Hawk Lake area.
Hydro spokesman Scott Powell said crews are now focusing on areas that suffered the most severe damage in the storm, including Vita, Piney, and Woodridge. He said crews hope to restore power to most of the remaining 150 customers by the end of today.
He said a few homes in Lac du Bonnet are also without power.
"These were the ones with the most damage," Powell said.
The storm broke close to 200 hydro poles broke in Piney alone, and crews need to put in new poles and re-string power lines.
