IKEA hiring for new Winnipeg store

Ladies and gentlemen, start your Allen keys – IKEA is hiring.

The world-renowned furniture retailer is launching a "major recruitment" campaign with the goal of hiring 300 workers. The company’s much-anticipated 390,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open this fall.

"We are happy to be in a position to develop exciting new employment opportunities in the Winnipeg market," says Stephen Bobko, store manager of IKEA Winnipeg. "IKEA offers a great working environment and is known for its competitive compensation and benefits for both full and part time co-workers as well as providing many opportunities for career development."

Landing a job at IKEA could even mean some having to dust off your passport. The company’s "backpacker" initiative provides the opportunity to travel for a year and work alongside experienced mentors in different stores around the world.

For more information, see IKEA's website.
