If you can't stand the heat, get out of Winnipeg

WINNIPEG -- In a word? HOT.

Just about anywhere in Manitoba today, the weather’s all about the rays. With temperatures way above average, we can expect highs of 32 C today and 35 C on Wednesday. Normal highs are 26 C this time of year.

Environment Canada’s forecast for southern Manitoba calls for a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon and UV index of 9, or very high.

Tonight expect a clear sky and low of 19 C, while Wednesday will be sunny, with winds 30 kilometres per hour from the southwest. On Thursday, there's a mix of sun and cloud, a 60 percent chance of showers and a high of 28 C. But Environment Canada says it will be sunny and hot through the weekend.
