The infant involved in an accident Monday evening has died.
RCMP confirmed this morning that a one-year-old succumbed to her injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision near the area of Highway 9 and St Andrews Road. The child was a passenger in a Dodge Neon when the car collided with a Mazda3 GT at approximately 7 p.m.
The driver of the Neon, a 30-year-old man from Selkirk, is in stable condition in a Winnipeg hospital. The other driver, a 24-year-old female from Selkirk, is in critical but stable condition.
RCMP say road conditions and speed were contributing factors in the accident.
No names have been released.
