The Canadian Museum for Human Rights undertook an extensive search for a restaurant partner but in the end, all they had to do was look across the parking lot.
The Inn at The Forks beat out six other suitors to operate the eatery, which will seat 70 people.
"We will stand with the top restaurants in Winnipeg," said Ben Sparrow, general manager at Inn at The Forks.
Lunch entrees will be available for $10-12.
Stu Murray, president and CEO of the museum, said he hopes to announce its grand opening date within the next few weeks.
