Symposium examining ways to make communities more livable for seniors
Delegates from 45 countries are in Winnipeg to examine ways to make rural and remote communities more livable for seniors.
The University of Manitoba’s Centre on Aging and the Province of Manitoba Seniors and Healthy Aging Secretariat are hosting an international symposium -- Age-Friendly Rural and Remote Communities and Places – starting today and running to Wednesday.
The symposium begins with a public forum to be held at the Winnipeg Art Gallery today from 1 to 4 p.m. The public is invited to join the international panel of experts in debating if the place we live can become age-friendly.
