WINNIPEG - NDP leader Jack Layton will be in Winnipeg today in support of Kevin Chief, federal NDP candidate for Winnipeg North.

Chief will accompany Layton on a tour of the Winnipeg Aboriginal Sports Achievement Centre Kids’ Camp (WASAC), of which Chief is executive director, at noon.

Layton said in a statement he is confident the NDP candidate will be a fitting replacement for mayoral candidate Judy Wasylycia-Leis.
