January named for third time to divisional all-star team

Even in the muck of the Bombers 2013 season, some players still shined, as four were named to the CFL’s East Division All-Star Team today.

Running back Will Ford, tackle Glenn January, linebacker Henoc Muamba and defensive tackle Bryant Turner all made the divisional all-star team, which was decided by votes from 77 football reporters and division head coaches.

January, one of the Bombers’ vets and biggest leaders, made the divisional all-star team for the third season in a row.

Ford was the Bombers nominee for top special-teams player after his break-out season, where his 70-yard dash against the Calgary Stampeders was the second-longest touchdown rush by a running back this season.

Turner, a third-year Bomber, earned his second consecutive east division all-star recognition after he tied the Bombers lead in sacks with seven, made 14 tackles and two fumble recoveries in 16 games. And Muamba, the Bombers’ nominee for most outstanding player, defensive player and Canadian was second in the league with 106 tackles.
