Jets open up spots on their season ticket waiting list

The option to wait for Winnipeg Jets season tickets opens again Friday.

The Jets said today they have 2,500 openings, The process, open to the general public, will begin Friday morning at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

Those who entered last season’s single-game ticket lottery for Jets games received direct notice today alerting them to the upcoming open spots.

After selling 13,000 season tickets in a matter of a few days last spring, the team capped its waiting list at 8,000. The Jets said today the move to add fans to the waiting list is the result of waiting-list customers being moved into season tickets.

To get a spot on the waiting list, a customer has to pay a non-refundable $50 fee. Waiting list spot renewals each summer cost $100 but that cash is held as a credit if a season ticket becomes available.

Going forward, the Jets said, they will limit the number of waiting list spots per person to two.
