The Winnipeg Jets schedule leaked on Twitter Friday was 98 per cent accurate, with just one of the 48 games listed incorrectly.
The Jets will open the 2013 schedule this Saturday against the Ottawa Senators, with a 2 p.m. opening faceoff. Their first road game, and second overall, will be another matinee with the Jets in Boston to face the Bruins on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 21.
Winnipeg then travels to Washington on Tuesday, Jan. 22nd for the Capitals’ home opener, which will be broadcast on TSN.
One change to the schedule which first appeared on Twitter: a game on Sunday, Feb. 3 in Buffalo has been moved to Monday, April 22.
The TSN Jets schedule was also firmed up Saturday night, with 34 contests appearing on the regional network. As well, seven other games are listed on CBC’s schedule.
That leaves the telecast of seven of the 48 games yet to be determined, but they will be picked up by either TSN Jets or CBC.
