The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms with defenceman Arturs Kulda on a new contract. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The Jets also placed goaltender Al Montoya on injured reserve. Montoya has a lower-body injury.

Kulda, 24, played in 50 games with Novosibirsk of the KHL this season. In that time, the Riga, Latvia native recorded nine goals and 15 points.
