Jets to host draft party in June

Winnipeg Jet diehards going through withdrawal since the regular season ended in April can gather together again to watch the club’s picks being unveiled at the NHL draft.

The Jets have announced they will host the 2012 NHL Entry Draft Party at Tavern United Transcona on Friday, June 22 as fans watch the team’s brass make their selections from the CONSOL Energy Centre in Pittsburgh.

Jet defencemen Zach Bogosian and Mark Stuart will be at the party to sign autographs and take pictures with fans from 6-10 p.m. As well, all those in attendance will be eligible for a number of draws, including autographed Bogosian and Stuart jerseys and game tickets.

Doors open for the event, hosted by TSN 1290 host Jay Richardson, at 5 p.m. with the live broadcast of the event beginning at 6.

Tickets for the party are $25 (includes burger, chips, a beverage and draft party ball hat) and go on sale Monday, June 4 at noon. There is a limit of four tickets per purchase and they can be purchased by going to www.winnipegjets.com.
