Vancouver orchestral folk-pop purveyor Jordan Klassen is bringing his much anticipated new album, Repentance, to the West End Cultural Centre on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Due out Sept. 24 via Nevado Records, the record will make good on the promise of last year’s Kindness EP. Recorded at Buena Vista Audio with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Anderson (Aidan Knight, In Medias Res, Sheree Plett), the album is "an engaging and beautiful record, steeped in sonic whimsy and alluring melodies" according to a release.
A hero in his home province, Klassen was a finalist in last year’s Peak Performance Project, a prestigious songwriting contest hosted by Music B.C. and 102.7 The Peak.
Show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $17 at the door and $12 in advance at Music Trader, Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store, the WECC and Ticketmaster.ca. Local husband/wife duo The Young Pixels will open the show.
