Judy Wasylycia-Leis launches robocalls

Mayoral hopeful Judy Wasylycia-Leis has launched her own round of robocalls, these featuring Liberal Sen. Sharon Carstairs.

Winnipeggers arrived home today to the automated messages. In them, Carstairs says she’s worked with Wasylycia-Leis for years in Ottawa despite their different party affiliations, and she urges voters to vote for a change at city hall.

Mayor Sam Katz has relied heavily on robocalls, using them at least twice so far this campaign. Other council candidates have also experimented with them.
