Local birdie bashers off to nationals

Winnipeg badminton athletes David Snider and brothers David and Andrew Harrison are competing in the 2012 Manulife Canadian National Badminton Championships in Calgary this week.
There are over 100 athletes in the event which began Wednesday and concludes on Saturday.
Snider, a University of Manitoba student, is the defending national men’s singles champion and is ranked No. 1 in this event.
Andrew, the younger of the Harrison brothers, has graduated from the junior to the open age category where he and David have teamed up as a doubles team. They are ranked 5/8 in the national men’s doubles draw.
