About 50 people attended a memorial service at MTS Centre Saturday morning dedicated to the 26 people, 22 of them children, killed in Newtown, Conn., last month.
The memorial was hosted by Wojcik's Funeral Chapel as many Manitobans were still digging themselves out from last night's blizzard.
Unlike other memorial services in Manitoba dedicated to the horrific murders, this one did not highlight the death of former Winnipeger Ana Marquez-Greene, 6, but was for all 26 people killed inside Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14.
"This devastating tragedy impacted people around the world," said Richard Wojcik.
