Looking for a new friend? City holding Adopt-a-Dog sale
If you're looking for a canine, the City of Winnipeg has a deal for you.
The city's Animal Services special operating agency plans to hold an Adopt-a-Dog sale on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12 noon to 5:30 p.m. at 1057 Logan Ave., the city says in a release.

Adopting a dog over six months old will set you back $99. That sum includes a license, microchip, spaying or neutering, basic shots, food and pet health insurance.
As of Monday, Animal Services had 56 dogs, with 26 dogs available for adoption. Dogs found with licenses are given a free ride home once a year, the city says.
"In 2011, 601 dogs wearing a current license were reunited by 311 without ever setting foot in the Animal Services’ facility," the city said in its statement, urging pet owners to call 311 and visit Animal Services if they lose a dog.
