MPI employees reject contract offer
Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation workers voted Thursday night to reject the Crown corporation’s contract offer.
The MPI employees belong to the Manitoba Government and General Employees Union. The 1,600 workers voted to reject MPI’s final offer on a new four-year contract, the union said.
It says it has to decide now whether to ask MPI management to return to the table and resume negotiations or to begin preparations to conduct a strike vote.
